Closed for nearly a month for flood repairs, Red Rock Canyon Open Space is nearly ready for the public - though the question of when remains open."We are hoping that we can open it up and have people in there in the next few weeks," said Kurt Schroeder, park operations and development manager at Colorado Springs, Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services.Schroeder declined to provide a target date, and he cautioned that the 789-acre open space - located at the city's western edge and celebrated as the locals' Garden of the Gods - may still be in rough condition due to flood damage sustained during record rainfall in May."There will still be crews," Schroeder said.
