Lancaster police were unable to catch a man who fled Tuesday after being suspected of shooting a pellet gun at North Elementary School. Nobody was hurt during the incident. Parents in the car-rider line saw the man shooting at the school about 1:30 p.m. and called police. The Rev. Wayne Murray, who was visiting the school, and North Principal Keishea Mickles chased the man but couldn’t catch him. The school was put on lockdown and Superintendent Jonathan Phipps and other district personnel went to the school to assist with dismissal.
