Olivia Grey made quite the varsity debut for the Woodland softball team. Grey tossed a complete-game no-hitter, striking out 13 batters in the Beavers’ 4-0 non-league win over Prairie on Monday in Woodland. Grey, a transfer from Kalama, threw 19 first-pitch strikes to the 24 batters she faced over seven innings. Second-year coach Tom Christiansen said Grey’s precense in the circle changes the whole dynamnic for Woodland, a team that went 6-15 last season. “Everyone is a lot more relaxed and the defense isn’t overworked,” he said.
