Power Out To Thousands After Thursday's Snowstorm

The wet and sloppy snowstorm that battered the Capital Region and the Adirondacks Thursday knocked out power to 20,000 National Grid customers among downed trees and power lines and fallen utility poles. Forestry and linemen crews spent the night trying to clean up the mess, and only about 5,000 customers remained without power as of 8:30 a.m.
