The effort to revitalize downtown Daytona Beach is a never-ending process where what matters most is whether things are improving - or stagnating and getting worse, local developer Jack White said.The good news, the partner in Daytona Beach-based White Challis Redevelopment said, is the trend for the city's historic downtown district is definitely in the upswing category.PROMISING NEWCOMERSThe latest examples are plans by separate business owners to open a Hamburger Mary's restaurant/bar on Beach Street, just south of Bay Street, and a Classic Rock Cafe a few blocks to the south.The Classic Rock Cafe, which owner Patti Miracle hopes to open by the start of Biketoberfest, will be part of radio station WROD 1340 AM/104.7 FM, which Miracle recently purchased and relocated to 242 S.
