The Port of Seattle roots for the return of an NBA franchise to greater Seattle but fears a fast break toward approving a sports complex in the heart of Puget Sound’s industrial center, Port CEO Tay Yoshitani warns in a letter to city and King County officials. The proposed Sodo arena would be “sandwiched between key freight corridors and our marine cargo terminals immediately west of the site,” Yoshitani told Mayor Mike McGinn and King County Executive Dow Constantine.
