The Broncos are making moves ahead of the NFL trading deadline after all. Denver is sending outside linebacker Baron Browning to Arizona in return for a sixth-round draft pick, multiple sources confirmed Monday to The Post. Browning, a third-round pick in 2021, is in the final year of his rookie contract. He’s been productive when healthy but also has missed time due to multiple injuries in his career.

Valeri Nichushkin is one step closer to returning for the Colorado Avalanche. Nichushkin was cleared to practice Monday with the Avs and was on the ice with the team at Family Sports Center. He remains in Stage 3 of the NHL-NHLPA Player Assistance program and isn’t eligible to apply for full reinstatement until the middle of this month.

A Colorado judge on Friday appointed a new district attorney for the 11th Judicial District, replacing disbarred prosecutor Linda Stanley. Chief Judge Amanda Hunter appointed Jeff Lindsey to the role after Stanley’s disbarment — ordered in September over her misconduct in office — took effect Friday. Lindsey, a Republican, was running unopposed for district attorney in the 11th Judicial District, which covers Chaffee, Custer, Fremont and Park counties.

It was the summer of 2015 when the Animas River in southern Colorado turned such a garish orange-gold that it made national news. The metallic color came from the Gold King Mine, near the town of Silverton in the San Juan Range. The abandoned mine had been plugged by an earthen and rock dam known as a bulkhead, behind which orange, highly acidic drainage water accumulated.

No charges will be filed against a 7-Eleven security guard who shot and killed a man in August after the two fought over a gun outside an Aurora convenience store, prosecutors announced Monday. A video released by the 17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office shows 36-year-old Vernon Dorsey rushing up behind the unidentified security guard outside the Aurora 7-Eleven, holding a gun to his head and pushing him up against the wall. The security footage has no sound, but Dorsey demanded the security guard’s gun and threatened to kill him, according to a news release from the district attorney’s office. In a fight that lasted just over 30 seconds, the two grappled over the gun until the security guard shot Dorsey once in the chest, the video shows. Aurora police officers responded to the convenience store shooting in the 12000 block of East Colfax Avenue just after 9 p.m.

Denver comic Adam Cayton-Holland’s acclaimed 2018 book, “Tragedy Plus Time: A Tragi-Comic Memoir,” has been adapted into a movie that will feature some recognizable Hollywood stars. The announcement, first reported by Deadline, named actor and filmmaker Jay Duplass (“Search Party”) as director. He’s helming the production that’s already started shooting in Atlanta.
