Officials in Pooler are preparing for an upgrade to the city’s wastewater treatment plant that will expand the facility’s capacity by 800,000 gallons a day. The Pooler City Council voted unanimously Monday to award the contract for the upgrade to the lowest of seven bidders, Savannah-based Southern Champion Construction, for $5.3 million.
