From that squad, the Warriors have lost 22 seniors, including 2016 Daily Journal Offensive Player of the Year Jacob Carter and his 2,818 passing yards and 42 total touchdowns. The road to replacing the lost talent and eventually surpassing last season’s success began last week with the start of spring football. “We have got to get some young guys grown up,” Pontotoc coach Jeff Carter said.
