With people turning to online ads for their Christmas shopping, county law enforcement agencies are reminding people they offer some of their parking lots as safe exchange zones, where people can meet to finish their online transactions. A stranger from the internet with some cool item you want, the logic goes, is still a stranger from the internet, so why not cut out a few variables from the experience? Property may not be dropped off or left unattended, and the safe exchange zones are meant for person-to-person transactions.
