Police: Nyc Shooter Was Dumped From Band

NEW YORK (AP) — Police say a musician who shot and killed three other Iranian men inside a New York City apartment before committing suicide was upset because he had been kicked out of an indie rock band. Ali Akbar Mohammadi Rafie (UH'-lee UHK'-bahr Muh-HAH'-muh-dee RAH'-fee) gunned down the men just after midnight on Monday. Victims Soroush (SOW'-roosh) and Arash Farazmand (OHR'-ahsh Fahr-OHZ'-mahnd) were brothers who played in a band called the Yellow Dogs. The third victim, Ali Eskandarian (UH'-lee EHS'-kahn-dahr-ee-AHN'), also was a musician. Police said Rafie had been kicked out of the Free Keys last year in a dispute over money. After the shooting, investigators found a guitar case on a rooftop they believe the shooter may have used to carry the assault rifle used in the attack.Read more on NewsOK.com
