(AP) — Police say a suspect in a smash-and-grab robbery at a New Canaan jewelry store a year ago committed suicide when he mistakenly believed police were closing in. The Connecticut Post reports (http://bit.ly/1xVlAF8 ) that police said Thursday that Ralik Hansen shot himself in Brooklyn Oct. 31 after a delivery person knocked on his door and he believed it was the police about to arrest him.
