Police are investigating after they discovered a body in a creek behind the Bridgton Place Townhomes.

Authorities investigating dead body found near downtown Ames
Ames Police are investigating the cause of death of a 53-year-old man they found lying in a parking lot Sunday morning. Authorities were notified of a body in the 700 block of Burnett Avenue around 8:30 a.m. The parking lot is near an alley, according to a City of Ames Police release.
