State police are on the hunt this morning for a red vehicle and its driver they say sped off after striking and killing a pedestrian trying to cross Route 1 overnight.Trooper Matthew Guarino confirmed the victim of the hit and run has died, but no other information about his identity was being released pending notification of his family.
