FALL RIVER, Mass. — Police in Massachusetts have charged a man police say tried to flee the scene after striking a 7-year-old boy with his car and pinning him to a wall.The Herald News reports 19-year-old David Fernandes, of Fall River, has been charged with multiple offenses including leaving the scene of an accident after causing personal injury and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs.
