Stories Related to Police Chase On I-75 Ends In Crash

A police chase along Interstate 75 Thursday afternoon ended when the suspect’s vehicle crashed into a guardrail. The chase began in Columbia County and continued at high speeds south into Alachua County, where the car crashed at around mile marker 400, north of the Northwest 39th Avenue exit, according to Alachua County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Art Forgey. It was unclear what precipitated the chase, but Forgey said no one was injured in the chase or the crash. This is a developing story and more details will be provided as they become available from law enforcement.
