DANBURY—A Bridgeport man was charged Friday night after he used a credit card stolen from a car in September, police said. Luis Cuevas, 35, was arrested around 9 p.m. in connection with a Sept. 26 car break-in on Cottage Street, where a wallet and credit cards were stolen. Police said Cuevas used the card to buy items at businesses around town, including Walgreens, a liquor store and Family Dollar, with purchases totaling more than $500. He was charged with fifth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit fifth-degree larceny, illegal use of a credit card, conspiracy to use the credit card and attempt to commit sixth-degree larceny.
