Police Body Camera Program Will Be Funded, Mayor Walsh Says

BOSTON — A controversial body camera program has been allotted $2 million in funding in Boston's 2019 budget. The Boston Globe reports Mayor Marty Walsh said the city may start the body camera program in stages once more can be learned from Northeastern University's study on the city. The results come in June.The proposed funding is part of the Democrat's budget, which will be filed this week for review by the city council.
