The Poetry Society of Michigan on Monday named an Oakland County resident as the new vice president of the organization, which encourages and celebrates poetry groups across the state.Dr. Anton Anderssen, of Madison Heights, was elected into the position this week during the group's fall convention at the Great Lakes Commonwealth of Letters Center in Grand Rapids.
