Why should we say "play the piano" instead of "play a piano"? We use the definite article for describing the skill of playing any musical instrument; we don't do that for non-musical instruments. So: I want to learn to play the piano. I want to learn to ride a bike. But also correct are both: I want to learn to play piano. I want to learn to ride bikes. It would be technically correct but very unidiomatic ... 01/10/2025 - 8:17 am | View Website
difference The main point of the question is the difference between the tenses of "have been playing" and "have played". You can expect a “major” year for seaweed, raising the chances that more will wash up on Florida beaches in 2025, experts say.
Researchers at the University of South Florida used satellite imagery to determine monthly amounts of sargassum in the Atlantic Basin, and found that December had exceptional amounts of the seaweed.
The ongoing research showed that sagrassum amounts in the Gulf of Mexico, western Caribbean Sea, and eastern Caribbean are currently low, which is normal for this time of year.
