The Innovation District effort started two years ago with a study by the Brookings Institution and the Project for Public Spaces concluded the area known as the Oklahoma Health Center and home to OU Medical Center, has the potential of becoming a regional magnet for innovation, entrepreneurship and economic development. Boren and Gallogly were joined by Stephen Coulston, principal with Perkins + Will, in presenting an update on creation of a master plan and action steps to an audience of about 1,000 people gathered at the Medical Center Embassy Suites. “The path we are now on in the Innovation District is to capitalize on our dominant industries; investing in high-quality places where research institutions, firms, and talent concentrate and connect,” Boren said.Read more on NewsOK.com
