Pd: Man Pushed Stamford Cop During Traffic Stop

STAMFORD — An intoxicated driver was charged with nine different offenses after trying to resist an arrest following a traffic stop early Saturday morning, police said. Jamar Jones, 31, of Bridgeport, is accused of pushing and shoving a Stamford police officer after a traffic stop about 2 a.m. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, assault on a police officer, interfering with an officer, first-degree threatening, reckless driving, failure to obey stop sign and other traffic violations.
