BOSTON — Patriots cornerback Jason McCourty has experienced lots of change during his 11-year NFL career. It’s why he didn’t try to hide his enthusiasm, posting a screaming image of himself on Twitter in March, when New England picked up the team option on the final season of the two-year, $10 million contract he signed in 2019. It’s also the reason the 32-year-old says he’s stayed focused during an abnormal offseason as he works his way back from a groin injury that limited him to 12 games last season. While the NFL continues to bar NFL coaching staffs and most players from team facilities during the COVID-19 pandemic, Commissioner Roger Goodell gave the league’s 32 clubs the go-ahead for limited reopenings last week.
