The son of NHL great Patrick Roy has pleaded guilty to assault over an on-ice beating. Jonathan Roy pleaded guilty Wednesday in a Quebec court and offered a $5,000 check to charity. Patrick Roy was standing behind the bench when his son, a goalie with the Quebec Remparts, skated across the rink in a junior game in March 2008 to pummel the opposing goalie. That beating prompted a national debate over violence in hockey, including comments by Prime Minister.
