Pastor Corey Brooks’ Project H.O.O.D. scored an $8 million donation to help the community organization in its efforts to end Chicago violence. Brooks has been fundraising for over a year to raise $35 million to build a community center he hopes will transform the South Side of Chicago through efforts like job training and teen mentorship programs.
