Pair Charged In Midday Heroin Deal In Danbury

DANBURY — Two city residents were caught with heroin Wednesday after officers saw them in a hand-to-hand drug deal on Maple Avenue, police said. Officers in an unmarked cruiser were patrolling the downtown area about 12:15 p.m. when they saw Andrew Garcia, 41, sell heroin to GeorgeAnn Zotynia, 39, near the train tracks, according to the report. Zotnyia was charged with possession of a controlled substance and was released on a promise to appear in court Sept.
