STOCKTON — Alexa Goodman, 11, lay on a large stuffed white bear as she read “Smile,” a graphic novel written by Raina Telgemeier.In other areas of University of the Pacific, fourth-grader Ernest Bullock learned math using coins, and children ran around in the grass. It was another fun day at Pacific Summer Academy, a four-week program for elementary students who are experiencing homelessness.
