Weakening former Hurricane Harvey, now a tropical depression, pushed northeast into eastern Texas and western Louisiana on Wednesday, threatening new areas with dangerous flooding as waters finally began receding in the devastated Houston area. Dangers continued even in areas where the rain had stopped — two explosions rocked a Houston-area chemical plant that lost power, with officials warning that its volatile chemicals could ignite.

Google Ngram suggests that "today morning" (in blue) is virtually non-existent but nonetheless there are rare instances. However, on closer inspection I noted that the phrase was often separated with a comma such as: For ten minutes, twice today, morning and evening, let the idea for today sink deep into your consciousness.
