Overseas Votes Could Decide The Election

An expert on the Latino vote says Trump's Madison Square Garden rally could cost him the election. The GOP presidential candidate called the rally a "love fest." The Daily Blast with Greg Sargent is a great podcast if you don't listen to it already. Sargent is a journalist for The New Republic and one of my favorite reads. The newest episode of The Daily Blast features Mike Madrid, co-founder of the Lincoln Project, an expert on the Latino vote, and author of "The Latino Century." Madrid explained why the Madison Square Garden hate rally was the “October Surprise” that could cost Trump the election.

Some participants in a Halloween parade outside Pittsburgh are being heavily criticized for their depiction of Vice President Harris in a float. Via CBSNews.com: Photos of the float in Wednesday night's parade in Mount Pleasant, in Westmoreland County, show a utility vehicle decorated with American flags and campaign signs for former President Donald Trump and people dressed as United States Secret Service agents with what appears to be a rifle mounted on top and with a person dressed as Harris chained up and walking behind the cart.

Many of us have been saying for a while that we must be prepared for the inevitable violence that will break out this election cycle. Some may be planned by the usual suspects (Proud Boys, etc), but some will just happen because there are a lot of angry white men and Donald Trump has told them it is their right--if not their duty--to behave like psychotic assholes. Here, in an Orangeburg, SC polling place, a fight broke out after an insane/inane Trump supporter clashed with poll workers over his MAGA hat---partisan ads are illegal in polling places.

In a world of Donald Trumps, strive to be a Janey Godley instead. She will be missed. Source: Deadline Scottish comedian Janey Godley has died aged 63, her family has announced. Godley had been diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2021 and shared in September of this year that her “chemo ran out of options.” Godley, a long-established comedian and writer in her native Scotland, found wider fame during the pandemic when she dubbed comedy videos spoofing Scotland’s political leader Nicola Sturgeon’s coronavirus news briefings. She had previously made headlines across the world in 2016 when she held up a sign stating “Trump is a c**t” outside Donald Trump’s Turnberry Golf Resort prior to his election as the president of the United States. Despite her health condition, last month Godley managed to go viral on social media once again as she shared a picture of herself holding a t-shirt which said: “Trump is still a c**t.” Captioning the post, she wrote: “The gift that keeps giving!” In 2016 she was photographed at the Turnberry golf resort holding a sign with an offensive word, protesting the visit by the club's owner, President Trump.

Trump has routinely called Democratic voters "scum, stupid, Marxist, socialist American haters," yet Axios and others promote one comment by Joe Biden taken out of context. It's Bothsiderism on steroids as the election season draws to a close. CNN's Abby Phillip played a video compilation of Trump demonizing Democratic voters, the Harris campaign, and anyone not loyal to himself. "I want to play this, because I think it's very instructive, what you're talking about, Phillip said.
