TULSA (AP) — After a spending scandal, layoffs and more than a year without a permanent leader, Oral Roberts University could have a new president by next week. The evangelical school's board of trustees is scheduled to vote Wednesday on hiring Mark Rutland, the president of Southeastern University in Florida, for the top post here, ORU spokesman Jeremy Burton said Friday. Rutland has been at the helm of Southeastern, a Christian liberal-arts college in Lakeland, Fla., for 10 years.
