A man was injured in a shootout with Aurora police Thursday night while officers were responding to reports of shots fired in an apartment complex parking lot. Police responded to 911 calls about shots fired in the parking lot north of Mississippi Avenue and Sable Boulevard at 9:25 p.m., according to the Aurora Police Department. At about 9:50 p.m., officers observed a man near Sable and Kentucky Drive who was holding a gun and matched the description given by witnesses.
