Drivers who pass a stopped school bus should soon expect to be caught and ticketed, under a new program the Broward School District is launching.
The School Board is expected to vote in January on a contracts that would install cameras on the exteriors of more than 1,000 school buses. The cameras would allow law enforcement to detect vehicles that pass a school bus while its stop arm is enabled.
