The beginning of a cancer journey sometimes feels like a sprint. Once something “suspicious” is found, it’s a series of tests. In my case, it was a mammogram followed by an ultrasound followed a biopsy followed by an MRI followed by another biopsy. In between there was a blood test to see whether I had a gene that made it more likely for me to have breast cancer.
