Old Friends From Englewood’s 4th Ward Gather For Reunion

In the 1950s, the old 4th Ward in Englewood was a predominantly African-American neighborhood, centered around Humphrey and William streets. As people eventually moved away, there was a strong desire to maintain the old bonds of friendship, and about 35 years ago, a reunion was held. The Englewood Reunion has been held every three years or so since then, and this year the event was expanded to an entire weekend of festivities.
