WAPAKONETA — Authorities seized 75 marijuana plants this week with an estimated street value of $75,000, Auglaize County Sheriff Al Solomon said Thursday. Using a helicopter and following tips from local farmers, officers located 75 marijuana plants among a standing cornfield and at a garden area at a home in Auglaize County, Solomon said. Solomon warned growing or possession marijuana is illegal despite the fact it will be on the November ballot to vote whether people can possess and use it without breaking the law. The Auglaize County Sheriff’s Office teamed up with the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation for the annual effort looking for marijuana, Solomon said. Plants are pulled, collected for evidence and later destroyed. .neFileBlock { margin-bottom: 20px; } .neFileBlock p { margin: 0px 0px 0px 0px; } .neFileBlock .neFile { border-bottom: 1px dotted #aaa; padding-bottom: 5px; padding-top: 10px; } .neFileBlock .neCaption { font-size: 85%; } http://limaohio.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/web1_Marijuana.jpg
