The Oregon Department of Transportation has begun changing the rest area on U. S. Highway 20 in Brothers. The refit is expected to take two weeks.Most notably, the rest stop will no longer have running water or flushing toilets. Instead, the rest stop will feature vault toilets and cut off drinking water for motorists, as part of an attempt to contain costs associated with maintaining the rest area.
