Obama to end ban on deep-water oil drilling in Gulf of Mexico

A White House spokesman says the moratorium, spurred by the BP oil spill in the gulf, could be lifted this week.Months after the nation’s worst oil disaster, the Obama administration will lift its moratorium on deep-water drilling in the Gulf of Mexico, the White House announced Tuesday morning.
