Oakland County Calls Hud's Claim That Housing Assistance Programs Are Discriminatory "baseless"

Oakland County is calling on the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to rescind its letter of noncompliance claiming the county's housing assistance programs, and use of federal funding, is discriminatory.In April, HUD issued a letter of findings of noncompliance claiming that the county rarely spends federal dollars on helping low-income residents with rental assistance while using the majority of it on assisting low-income homeowners.
