It didn't break any records but it sure is a lot of money. David Vanderveen, Oakland County's director of central services, said the annual county spring auction, held Saturday, brought in around $550,000 with over 460 people bidding. The money collected will go back to the county departments that donated auctions items including the water resources commissioner's office, sheriff's office, department of facilities management as well as the department of central services, which includes the Oakland County International Airport.
