Ny Man Accused Of Stamford Train Station Slashing

STAMFORD — A New York man has been accused of slashing a man’s face during an attempted robbery at the downtown train station. Eric Carrero, 25, of Brooklyn, N.Y., has been charged with armed robbery, second-degree assault, second-degree robbery, threatening and breach of peace. At the arraignment early Friday afternoon, Judge Gary White said the incident was extremely violent and ordered Carrero held in lieu of a $100,000 court appearance bond. The 22-year-old victim said he had just gotten off a train from New Haven about 11 p.m.
