    Agreed. Aiming for less cropping is generally the best, but yeah I don't understand either why people get all purist about cropping. Imagine it's 1980 and you're an award winning photographer. You have your leica or whatever, prime lens of course, and you're walking around in the city.

It is a little lengthy (~40min), but walks you through a workflow for importing, cropping/resizing images, saving your settings as presets (so you can reuse the settings again), and exporting your images.

    In this case, you are scaling down the the frame, not the image - which of course results in cropping. I either use the method described by u/rach-roberts (learning the various/most-used fitting shortcuts makes this a breeze) or resize with the FreeTransform tool (E).

  • My DALL-E images are always too cropped. tops of heads cut off ...
    I'm going for a painting so I first tried "ornately framed" but it cut off tops and bottoms. Zoomed out and long shot are cropping as much if not more. I tried "full frame included in image," and it zoomed in even more... original prompt = "official portrait, oil painting, chicken president, digital art, regal, detailed, 8K"
