For the first time in Amarillo, an organization might soon be able to offer 30-day inpatient residential treatment for a wide selection of Texas Panhandle residents who are trying to recover from alcoholism and drug abuse. Amarillo Area Foundation, along with the Don & Sybil Harrington Foundation, has donated $375,000 to Amarillo Recovery from Alcohol and Drugs, a local group whose goal is to open a co-ed, inpatient residential recovery treatment program in Amarillo. read more
