TALLAHASSEE | University of Florida Health Jacksonville will not see a change in the money it receives from the state under a new plan lawmakers negotiating the budget announced this morning. The budget will include $400 million in state hospitals funding to offset cuts in the federally funded Low Income Pool program that helps hospitals and health clinics care for uninsured patients. In total, UF Health Jacksonville stands to receive $94.8 million, just a slight reduction from the $94.9 million the hospital receives now through the LIP program. read more
