LAS VEGAS — Shedeur Sanders fits Sin City like a sequin glove.
“When you look at our options for next year, hands down, he is the No. 1 pick in my opinion,” Patrick Brannon, a Raiders fan from Jamestown, Tenn., told me Monday morning outside the Raider Image team store at Mandalay Place.

The discovery of racist and homophobic messages in the visitors locker room at a high school football game at Montrose High School has left parties connected to two schools leveling veiled accusations against one another.
The incident, which occurred at a Class 4A state playoff game between Mesa Ridge and Montrose last Saturday, came to light the next day when Mesa Ridge coach Jerimi Calip shared images of the messages with media.
That prompted an investigation by Montrose County School District that included a review of 24 hours of surveillance footage and concluded that the district had “significant doubts that this was in any way targeted against Mesa Ridge.”
Calip told The Denver Post that players and staff discovered the messages before the game began.
Malcolm Roach can be himself in Denver, and that has made all the difference.
On pace to have his best year as a pass rusher and a run stopper, the defensive tackle has proven to be a valuable offseason addition for the Broncos, and he credits his success to defensive coordinator Vance Joseph tapping into what he does best.
“I’m having more of a complete year,” Roach said.

Why the Buffs won: CU played much improved defense in the second half, went 9-for-16 on 3-pointers, and outrebounded No. 2 UConn 28-26.
Three stars

The Broncos activated second-year linebacker Drew Sanders from the physically unable to perform list on Tuesday.
Sanders has been on the PUP list since he tore an Achilles tendon during the early part of Denver’s offseason workout program last spring. Sanders returned to practice earlier this month, opening his 21-day window to return to the 53-man roster.
Sanders was a full participant at practice leading up to Denver’s divisional win over the Raiders but was not activated for the game.
Sanders — a third-round draft pick in 2023 — played inside linebacker after first being drafted and then during the season switched to outside linebacker.
