This N.j. Artist Fled Nazi Germany. Just Before Her Death -- At 102 -- Her Work Returned

Artist Anna Atlas grew up in Newark and in the 1930s stayed with family in Germany as a teen, where she trained to become a pianist. As conditions deteriorated for Jews, she left. At 102, Atlas was no longer painting, but her portrait of German tennis great Steffi Graf has brought a piece of her back to the country.
