Las Lomas-Walnut Creek boys basketball coach Brian Dietschy said he couldn’t hear himself think and his players definitely couldn’t hear directions most of the night. His ninth-ranked Knights persevered on sheer instinct and drive during a wild and loud 83-78 Diablo Athletic League home win over seventh-ranked Clayton Valley Charter-Concord on Tuesday night. Las Lomas (21-2, 6-1) streaked to a lead of 18 points in the first half, watched Clayton Valley (21-2, 5-2) catch and pass the Knights in the third, then took control the rest of the way behind a 30-point effort from Nathan Robinson.
