Next Up For Fort King: Replica Coming To Park

The only thing that remains of Fort King, built nearly 190 years ago on a modest hill at East Fort King Street and Northeast 39th Avenue, is the hill. A 2004 plaque is there now, commemorating the site as a national historic landmark. But much is changing about the 38-acre park, first acquired by the city and Marion County almost 15 years ago.
