- "Why would I" and "Why Should I" - English Language Learners Stack Exchange"Why would I X" is asking for the reasons that would force you, lead you, or make you do X. "Why should I X" is asking for the reasons that you would voluntarily choose to do X. A speaker/writer may not know that someone actually has or doesn't have a choice in something, so they may use the "improper" word.
- Which would be proper between "have seen" and "saw" and why?I think you mean, better. "Nicer" means kinder/friendlier. "Better" means more accurate/in common usage/a good choice of wording. The use of acting means you must use the word weirdly. This is my opinion. I doubt that it matters grammatically, but to my ear, it simply sounds better. I think you need one of our grammar gurus to explain it.

A better approach as provided by @mamtaD is: Thanks! I got the LIC receipt. I am good. How are you? She is right in her own sense, but this changes the meaning of the sentence.

This happens regardless of whether the speaker is speaking to one person or many. Is "you are", when applied to a single person, an example of the numerous exceptions in the English language? Is there ever a situation where it is appropriate to use "you is"?
