solar panels - Talk of The Villages Florida
You can end up with a roof full of panels generating $500/month more energy than you use, but they structure the contract so that you sometimes make $0/month and are stuck paying for the panels on the roof for 25 years while the solar salesperson made $10k on the sale.
SECO Energy Annual Meeting - Talk of The Villages Florida
Just finished watching the SECO Energy 2022 annual meeting online. We are relatively new to The Villages and this is the first meeting I have seen. Very interesting. The management team seems to be very competent as they have handled the tremendous growth in this area of Florida well and they are doing their best to provide good service.
Solar swimming pool recommendation. - Talk of The Villages
I dont think that is how solar works when hearing pool water. The water goes through a series of tubes on the roof, where the water collects heat from the sun. The solar isn’t used to power a heater, it actually heats the water. No residual energy is collected to power a home.
Solar Panel - Talk of The Villages Florida
The LONGI Solar Panels have been determined to degrade an average of 1% over the first 3 years but they continue to produce energy for over 30 years! I also went with what I believe to be the BEST solar installer in the area, Solar Energy World based in Tampa as I used them in Maryland.
SECO switching to time of day billing - Talk of The Villages
Heat really isn't an issue. Even during the coldest time of year, house retains heat pretty well, and solar radiation helps as well. I have NG so I can kick on a stove burner to heat up some water (and my house) from 6 to 9 am vs running the heat pump, if it's really cold (below freezing).
