Soft white lightbulbs are between 2,700K and 3,000K, meaning they have a warm, yellow coloring. Daylight bulbs are between 5,000K and 6,000K, giving them a much whiter, almost blue, hue similar to bright daytime sunlight. Wattage, on the other hand, has nothing to do with color. More @Wikipedia
